48 riders from 12 nations set out on 4 days of competition with 5 rounds in total to be jumped.
In the team competition Britain led from the front with Shaunie Greig and Nicole Lockhead Anderson jumping perfect double clears to clinch the title with room to spare over Sweden, and France touching off the Irish following a dramtic jump off.
The individual poles rose to 1m40cm and as the pressure was cranked up just one combination stayed the course with Sweden’s Ingemar Hammarstrom jumping 5 sensational clear rounds.
This was a wonderful competition with jumping of the highest class from start to finish from these 12-16 year old riders.
